Pete Deckman is a dedicated professional with over three decades of experience in the oil industry.  As the President at Deckman Oil Company, he oversees the daily operations, ensuring safety and efficiency in all processes. With a background in sales and marketing and a passion for market driven solutions, Pete has been instrumental in implementing innovative programs that reduce customer costs while maximizing their operational profitability.

 Under his leadership, Deckman Oil has achieved several industry awards for operational excellence. Pete is committed to fostering a collaborative workplace culture and mentoring the next generation of industry leaders. Outside of work, he enjoys hiking, boating, travel and volunteering in community development projects.

Lee Rhodus holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Keuka College. After spending 12 years in healthcare, Lee transitioned into part-time sales of fuel treatments. His career in the oil and lubrication industry began after he worked as a manufacturers' representative at an equipment show in Rochester for Deckman Oil. A few months later, Lee was officially hired by Deckman Oil on May 12, 2014. With over 10 years of experience in lubrication sales, distribution, and marketing, Lee serves the Greater Rochester/Finger Lakes region. Outside of work, Lee enjoys spending time with his wife of 20 years, their two teenage sons, and engaging in hobbies like hunting, camping, card games, and shooting.

Jon Hinton is a dedicated professional with 24 years of experience in the lubrication industry. Starting at Deckman Oil at the age of 16 in an after-school and summer warehouse role, Jon has since gained comprehensive knowledge in sales, distribution operations, and marketing. Over the years, he has taken on various responsibilities within the company and currently serves as a regional sales representative for the Greater Rochester and Finger Lakes area. Outside of work, Jon enjoys motorcycle riding, gardening, and hunting.

Jeff Wunder: After spending 20 years as a machinist, Jeff transitioned into sales, initially focusing on metalworking tooling and fluids. This experience made it easy to move into lubricant sales with Deckman Oil, where Jeff has been in sales for the past 12 years. The opportunity arose after meeting Pete, a mutual friend, at a party, who was looking to replace a retiring salesperson. Outside of work, Jeff enjoys boating, fishing, hunting, and spending time with family.

Larry Pealo began his career as a carpenter, where a chance encounter while renovating a kitchen for a Pennzoil employee led him into the world of motor oil lubricants. With over 46 years of experience in sales, Larry has built a reputation for his expertise in the Syracuse, NY market. When not working, he enjoys golfing, camping, fishing, carpentry, and working as a shade tree mechanic.

Larry Pealo
Position: Sales Specialist

Larry is a seasoned professional with 46 years of experience in the sales of motor oil lubricants. His journey into the industry began in an unexpected yet serendipitous way—while working as a carpenter, he was recommended for a job in the Syracuse, NY market by a Pennzoil employee for whom he was building a kitchen. Since then, Larry has dedicated his career to mastering the art of sales in the motor oil industry.

Outside of work, Larry enjoys a variety of hobbies including golfing, camping, fishing, and carpentry. He’s also a shade tree mechanic, always tinkering and refining his skills. Larry’s hands-on approach to life mirrors his dedication to his craft, making him a valuable asset to our team.

A high school graduate, Jon began his journey with Deckman Oil at the young age of 16, starting with after-school and summer warehouse work. Over the past two and a half decades, Jon has worn many "hats" within the company, gaining extensive knowledge and expertise in various aspects of the business.

Currently, Jon has settled into his role as a Regional Sales Representative, where he serves the Greater Rochester and Finger Lakes area with dedication and passion. Outside of work, Jon enjoys motorcycle riding, gardening, and hunting.
