Pete Deckman joined his father and uncle full-time after graduating from Geneseo State University in 1986. After having spent seven summers working in the warehouse, making deliveries and reconditioning the drum deposits, he was ready to assist in the computerization of all Deckman Oil’s business functions. After completion, Pete managed the office until 1990 at which point he turned to sales. He went on the road selling and supporting the customer base that was established while bringing in new business opportunities. After another computer systems upgrade in 1998 and with the sales of the fuel division, Pete turned his efforts into managing the sales team. In 2003, he was promoted to President and assumed administrative and managerial duties to this day.
